The cast of characters are settling looking for their new situations. They are that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is not hard enough and simply subtle enough to provide a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her behalf “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. The three in residence are missing. Ma makes a huge problem over it. She even visits the local newspaper in the event the local police usually do not respond to her fears. She does catch the attention of the out-of-work detective, the brand new editor with the local newspaper and finally the city itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who was named following your town under consideration, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta has a lot choosing her currently, she has gone to live in the big city, OKC, OK and landed employment with all the local t.v. station. Another main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor with the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective with a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo as the “reality” show director wanting to shot an airplane pilot for any new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round good old boy, involves town to assistance with his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once they will become involved in the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With additional rumors then the facts probably warrant, these missing girls are more and more objects of speculation and intrigue while very little factual info is given. The rumors start off mild as the missing girls are just looked for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally resulted in an important “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading within the news and therefore the townspeople.
