The tale of my mother and Whatsapp

It is often 5 years since Sami visited France to carry out his studies in engineering. He is courageous, ambitious, smart, and highly sensitive. Sami returns to Lebanon 3 x per year, in April, August, and December.


Nada, his mother, is 55 years old and will not work. When Sami announced to her he will be likely to Paris to review, she was proud but in addition anxious. Scared and worried, she started sleeping less at night, thinking about how her son would survive life in France. In the cold to women to food, everything worried her.
Before Sami left, he showed his mother utilizing Skype and promised to call occasionally to update her on his life, but he wasn’t sure this be enough.
Nada spent plenty of her days waiting for that Skype notification to determine and speak to her son. Each time Sami returned home, he realized that her face increasingly showed signs and symptoms of anxiety, which worried him a great deal. He became anxious but was convinced that his diploma from France would provide him having a better life.
August 2017. Sami just landed in Lebanon and goes home to see his parents. He examines
his mother’s face and sees something more important: she’s smiling and looks relaxed.
What is happening since 2012
Combined with technological advancements, WhatsApp was introduced to the entire world. This is revolutionary in many ways. Surprisingly, it changed Nada’s life. She actually is a fast learner and received a smartphone as a gift from her son. Sami is now share many information on his life along with her. Instantaneously, through voice messages, she could hear his voice at any time in the daytime. She can also video-call him even if he’s all the time, inside a different country. Sami sometimes shares images of his lunch, the weather, articles of clothing he wished to buy, and also images of his new girlfriend. Whenever she likes to anxious, she sends Sami a note, and most of the time, she receives an
instantaneous response.
Technology has been criticized a whole lot lately as a reason why individuals are becoming distant, but in some instances, specifically for people living abroad, it’s got changed their lives.
