We were first shocked with the Nintendo’s introduction from the Wiimote. Stunned by Sony’s Eyetoy and played some really competitive matches on Kinect Sports. Though just what the core gamers want is simply your standard controller. We don’t need motion controls to try out games; we demand we have something within our hand with thumbsticks and triggers. There aren’t any Major League Gaming tournaments for Wii Sports, right?

Since I’m at E3 I needed to obtain a controller from the next generation of consoles. The initial I obtained to experience with could be the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t stood a perfect history with controllers- anyone recall the Duke controller through the original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is a lot more Xbox 360 then this Duke. The first thing you will find is that it looks a little bit bigger a 360 controller. It’s only an illusion; contrary it felt convenient and cushty during my hands compared to previous one ever did.

Call of Duty and Halo include the Xbox’s best selling games; they’re both shooters so you constantly must take both analog sticks. Another issue I needed with the Xbox 360 system gamepad will be the Xbox Guide button. It’s located in the top middle area of the controller and you can accidentally hit it. Microsoft decided to allow it to be flat (thereby harder to push unintentionally) and set it at the pinnacle in the controller. It was a smart area for the button and i also aren’t seeing a lot of people hitting it in the center of gameplay.

Combined with the other various upgrades made out of the Xbox 360 console controller, the triggers got a bit of love as well, with rumble added to each. This sounds absurd however, when you attempt it by yourself, you’ll start to wonder why we did not have this before. While i was playing Forza 5, I was power sliding right into a sharp turn and you could have the tires squeal over the pavement through the trigger rumbles. There are only a couple of things I had created complaints about, particularly the left and right bumpers. They seem to get caused them to be a lot bigger even though playing Crimson Dragon they did not exactly feel great while i attemptedto barrel roll out of the way of projectiles. This might be also an issue with the sport however the buttons themselves were just okay.
