The majority of Uzbekistan’s population are ethnic Uzbeks, also known as Turkic communities, however, there are substantial minorities of Russians. A majority of the population is Muslim. There are Orthodox Christians and Buddhists, Jews and Jews who live within the country. As with Central Asians, Uzbeks are known to be welcoming. The only small part of the Fergana valley has fertile land. The Uzbekistan mountains include the Tian Shan Range in the south of the country.
The bazaars of Uzbekistan are an ideal destination for shoppers. The bargaining here is not just a way to live however, it’s also a fantastic time. The Tashkent markets, and especially the Chorsu Bazaar, are great for finding bargains. Find Soviet memorabilia such as stamps, portraits of Lenin, and military uniforms and caps. Other local souvenirs include light and intricately patterned pottery colorful rugs and clothes, and jewellery made with traditional silver. The Bukhara bazaar is among the most photogenic, with the rows of fresh fruits and vegetables and smiling people.
