The difficulty comes in case these tiny germs get trapped as part of your water system and multiply, potentially bringing about Legionnaires’ Disease.

While legionella bacteria might cause problems anywhere because of the right conditions, several areas such as spots where water is stored or recirculated, the location where the water temperature is in between 20-45°C or where oxidation, sludge, scale and also organic matters are present, are considered to be at much higher risk.
People who find themselves more susceptible to disease, including the elderly the ones with weakened immune systems, need to be especially watchful.
