Remember when going back to school meant getting a few notebooks, a new box of crayons, and new shoes? In the event you wore a uniform to school, you almost certainly got one particular too; or even, you still have a couple of new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The supply list now contains goods that used to be furnished by the faculties – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child requires a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders as well as a calculator. If you have two children and you shop the sales, you may still find yourself coughing up a lot more than $100.00 in supplies alone. Which doesn’t even count the brand new clothes your child “has to have” or perhaps the fees that are essential for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me started on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your son or daughter needs for school. Will it ever end?
Follow this advice to save money on paint canvas in 2010.
1) Recycle – Check to see whatever you already have in your own home. You probably have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. already there your house. Put these together in a pencil box and that will help save a few bucks.
2) Re-use – Kids feel that last year’s backpack has got to go, but a quick trip from the washer can provide it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your kids have a very notebook from last year which includes three pages of written material in it and 77 blank pages left? Do you find this notebook within the bin – or worse – the garbage? Now’s a fun time to talk about waste and keeping it as small as possible by letting essentially the most use possible of the many item.
