Sexual Assault

Sexual assault has affected our global society for approximately 10,000 years. We allow predators to roam free in broad daylight and won’t make any move to curtail their behavior. In many cases when a portion of our universe is peril we rush to mend them, as it includes a detrimental relation to the whole. Sadly, sexual assault, sexual harassment, physical abuse, and neglect against girls and women doesn’t even get a nod.

“We include the only animal in the world that repeatedly abuses and sexually assaults smaller and weaker with the species for fun or sport. We now have turned into a predatory global society that is not prepared to manage predatory behavior towards women and girls.”

Exactly why are sexual assault and the other predatory behaviors toward girls and women permitted to appear in an information rich global society? Allow me to share some facts and a possible approach toward answers to ending sexual assault.

Sexual violence is often a devastating crime where self-esteem, self-worth, trust and confidence are destroyed. Mental and physical health complications arise and may continue through the victim’s life. The ability to hold down employment, support oneself and contribute productively to society is undermined. Standard of living, health insurance happiness, autonomy and security are typical damaged by sexual violence.

Sexual violence devastates individuals,families and communities. Distrust and fear permeates our communities and defines how members live amongst the other person. We build a lesser community plus a lesser society for all of us to exist in.

Sexual violence is a travesty up against the fundamental and inalienable Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Sexual violence against women reflects fundamental gender inequality and perpetuates it. A culture which doesn’t value a lady’s voice could have trouble respecting a woman’s to certainly choose who or what she’s going to embark on.

Violence against women cost the united states public over $200 Billion annually.

Sexual violence is less inclined to be reported, to be prosecuted, and result in conviction than other crimes. A criminal offence which can not be successfully prosecuted is, in effect, a “Non-Crime”. Society tacitly condones a “non-crime” being a crime with no punishment.

We can easily end sexual violence through real education about women’s full and equal rights, respectful relationships, and real consequences for criminal behavior.
To absolve this barbaric crime, victims must break their silence to take these senseless assaults to a end. We must believe like a society that we’ll not tolerate this behavior. Sexual assault has no devote our families, communities, and nation.
