The guidelines of play are simple. You start with four elements: air, earth, fire, and water, which appear as icons on your own screen. By adding any two elements together, you receive another “element,” which can or is probably not combinable subsequently. Elements are added by dragging one over another, at which point either nothing happens (simply because they don’t make new things), or perhaps a new icon appears inside their place. You can add an element to itself; air + air = pressure, by way of example. You will find 560 stuff you can make, plus one bonus item (i found about halfway through.) You’ll discover youself to be dropping and dragging whenever you possess a short while to spare, looking to create yet another element.
The screen shows the sun and rain you’ve already made around the right; the left side of the screen is good for combining elements. A counter at the bottom tells you what number of elements you’ve created from the possible 560. (The screenshot was apparently taken during an earlier iteration with the game, when only 500 elements may be created.) You can set the library to exhibit either each of the elements you’ve created, or just the ones that can really be combined; “final elements” will be the end of the road and can’t be used to create other elements. You may also choose to have final elements underlined, in order to differentiate between them. “Flood” inside the screenshot can be a final element.
